Suddath Relocation
Systems (SRS),
announced the
strategic
acquisition of a
long-established
United Van Lines
Agency in Nashville,
Tennessee known as
Hudgins Moving &
Storage. Jim Myers,
senior vice
president of
operations for
Suddath, will become
the general manager
of the new location
and Paul Gleason,
general manager and
president of SRS-DC,
will assume Myers’
former role as vice
president of
operations.
“Hudgins has been a
United Agent for
more than 50 years
and this acquisition
allows Suddath to
make a strategic
step into a major
market that is rich
in opportunities,”
Demont said. “Jim’s
knowledge and depth
of experience will
allow our newest
branch to experience
dramatic growth and
become a force
within the Suddath
system.”
With Myers assuming
the general manager
role at
SRS-Nashville,
Gleason will join
home office as vice
president of
operations. In this
role, Gleason will
oversee all aspects
of operations,
including long
distance dispatch,
fleet services,
safety, and quality
within the branch
system.

background in operations
and recent experience
with the challenges
general managers face on
a day-to-day basis, I am
confident that Paul will
lead home office
operations into the
future as we seek to
deal with the changes
incumbent in our
industry, both from a
competition and
technology standpoint,”
