Suddath Promotes Spradley to
Senior Vice President, Human Resources
JACKSONVILLE, FLORIDA, August 20, 2003 -- The Suddath
Companies, a diversified group of companies that specialize in
providing global moving, relocation support, storage and
transportation-related services, today announced the promotion of
Elizabeth Spradley to Senior Vice President, Human Resources.
"Elizabeth's promotion is a reflection of her hard work and
dedication to The Suddath Companies and its employees and of the
increasing complexity of the HR function in the areas of legal,
benefits and employee welfare," commented Barry S. Vaughn, President
& CEO of The Suddath Companies. "She has spent the past several
years gaining the knowledge and experience required to handle the HR

Spradley has been with Suddath for over 15 years. She initially
held the position of Personnel Manager in the human resources
department. In 1994, she was promoted to Vice President of Human
Resources. Her responsibilities include company-wide management of
insurance and retirement benefits, employee relations, competitive
compensation programs, training and development, and the new human
resource information system. She also provides counsel and support
to the executive team regarding employee issues.
During the past year, Spradley and her staff have enhanced
Suddath’s group benefit plan, which has resulted in minimizing
annual premiums without reducing benefits. Additionally, significant
changes were made to the company’s 401(k) plan including new
investment options and offering the assistance of a qualified
financial advisor to all employees.
Spradley earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Auburn
University. She is a member of the Society of Human Resources
Managers and a board member with Goodwill.
The company also noted that this promotion was part of the execution
of their strategic plan, which includes a management succession
component designed to strengthen the executive management structure
and ensure the continued success of The Suddath Companies.
