Suddath Van Operators Honored by
United
Two of Four Categories Captured by Suddath – Over 6,000
Eligible
JACKSONVILLE, FLORIDA, October 17, 2003 – Calling it an
“amazing feat,” Suddath Relocation Systems, a leading provider of
global household goods transportation, facility moving, warehousing
and logistics services and a leading agent for United Van Lines,
today announced that two of its van operators have won United’s Van
Operator of the Year award. Both were recognized at United’s
convention in Boca Raton, Florida this month.
The Van Operator of the Year award is given annually in four
categories and is regarded as the highest recognition a van operator
can achieve in the United system. Over 6,000 van operators are
eligible for this coveted award. To win, candidates must achieve
superior scores on their total performance, including quality,
service delivery, claims statistics, safety performance, customer
relations’ excellence, operational commitment and cooperation.
This year, Suddath has captured two of the four Van Operator of
the Year Awards. The honorees are:
- Donald Rushan, Suddath Dallas, United’s Special
Services Master Lease Fleet
- Bill Rindle, Suddath Jacksonville, United’s Household
Goods Master Lease Fleet
“Having one of our van operators win this award is a tremendous
achievement in itself, but having two in one year is truly an
amazing feat and demonstrates Suddath’s commitment to our
customers,” commented Michael E. Demont, President of Suddath

Bill Rindle operates in United’s Household Goods Master Lease
Fleet for Suddath Branch 440 in Jacksonville. Since joining Suddath
in February 2001, Bill has quickly earned many accolades. His
previous accomplishments include: One Year Safe Driving, Master
Lease Van Operator of the Month in November 2001 and April 2002, and
the Jacksonville branch’s 2002 Van Operator of the Year.
Donald Rushan operates in United’s Special Commodities Fleet for
Suddath Branch 163 in Dallas. Don has been with Suddath since 1995,
starting at Suddath Pensacola. He transferred to Dallas later that
same year. Donald’s previous accomplishments include: Safe Driving
Excellence Performance Award in 1998 then the Safe Driver Award in
1999 and 2000. From 1997-1999, Donald won 11 United Van Lines
Honorable Mentions for the Safeguard/Special Commodities Master
Lease Fleet.
