Suddath Announces Scholarship Award Winner
JACKSONVILLE, FLORIDA, August 22, 2001 - In keeping with
their commitment to education, the Suddath Companies today announced that Joje
Marie Reyes has been selected as the recipient of The Richard H. Suddath
Scholarship award for 2001.
The Richard H. Suddath Scholarship is presented annually to a
graduating high school senior who is the dependent of an active, full time
employee or independent contractor of The Suddath Companies. This scholarship
provides full tuition, fees, and the cost of books for four years of academic
study at a state college or university. Joje Marie is the daughter of Manolita
Reyes and Jose Reyes. Manolita is employed as Revenue Distribution Auditor for
Suddath's Los Angeles, California branch.
Joje Marie graduated from Cerritos High School in June with a
grade point average of 3.83. She was active in the National Honor Society,
Community Service Organization, Color Guard, and chorus. In addition, she was a
multiple winner of Who's Who Among American High Schools, and a multiple
recipient of the Principle's Honor Roll. She will be attending the University of
California at San Diego, and is majoring in biology to eventually become a
physician.
Joje Marie is the eleventh recipient of the Richard H. Suddath
Scholarship, which was established upon Richard Suddath's retirement as Chairman
of the Board in 1989, to honor his many years of leadership, training, and
dedication to the employees of The Suddath Companies.
