Suddath Relocation Systems
Acquires Established
West Coast Moving Company
Jacksonville,
Florida, June 19, 2001 – In keeping with their continued aggressive growth
strategy, Suddath Relocation Systems, a leading provider of worldwide relocation
services, today announced the signing of an agreement to acquire Golden State
Services, a United Van Lines agent, located in San Jose, California. With this
acquisition, Suddath adds another important West Coast location to its growing
list of branches.
For over 24 years, Golden State Services has been the turnkey source for
Northern California’s commercial relocation and household moving needs. As an
agent for United Van Lines, their service area extends throughout California.
Golden State’s services have been developed to support their clients’
efforts to reduce costs in operations. Golden State provides for the movement,
installation, warehousing, and asset management of their clients’ entire
corporate assets.

As with the recently announced Maryland-based, American Security Storage
acquisition, Suddath was quick to point out their intent to retain all Golden
State employees. As of this date, all employees have been invited to join
Suddath. In addition, all original hire dates will be honored.
