Demont
to Serve as Sr. Vice President of
Suddath Relocation
Systems
Jacksonville,
Florida, February 6, 2001 -- Barry S. Vaughn, President of Suddath
Relocation Systems, announced today that Michael E. Demont has been appointed
to the position of Sr. Vice President of Suddath Relocation Systems.
Demont began with
The Suddath Companies in 1996 as Vice President of Branch Operations
for the company's Mayflower Transit subsidiary, American Heritage
Relocation Systems. He subsequently served
as CEO of Suddath's records management and storage company,
Data Storage Centers, where he guided the company to record growth prior
to its sale to publicly-traded Iron Mountain. In his new role as Sr. Vice
President of Suddath Relocation Systems, responsible for branch operations,
Demont will oversee the daily management and operations of Suddath's
12 branch locations nationwide. "Mike's focus will be to assist the
branch locations in improving their
operating ratios, while driving revenue growth in
our various service segments," stated Vaughn. "Since the sale of Data Storage Centers, our warehousing activities
will grow through our newest subsidiary, Suddath Logistics Management.
We plan to rededicate ourselves at the branch level to sustaining
our quality improvement programs and enhancing our core moving and
relocation services," Vaughn added.
A graduate of The
University of Florida College of Law, Demont serves as an active
member of the American Bar Association, the Florida Bar Association, The
Jacksonville Bar Association, the Chester Bedell Inn of Court, and a member
of the Board of Directors of St. Marks Episcopal Day School. He resides
in Jacksonville, Florida, with his wife and three children.
