Suddath Announces 1999 Van Operators of the Year

Jacksonville, Florida, May 3, 2000 -- Barry S. Vaughn, President of Suddath Relocation Systems announced today the company's top van operators for 1999 in both Continental and Master Lease Fleet categories.

Eddie Zielnik, of Suddath/Pompano Beach, was named Suddath's 1999 Continental Fleet Van Operator of the Year. Zielnik began with Suddath in 1987 and has received numerous awards over the years, including United Van Lines' Honorable Mention Recognition Van Operator of the Month -- eight times; Suddath's Van Operator of the Month every year from 1995-1999; Suddath's Van Operator of the Year for Regional Fleet in 1995, 1996 and 1997 and Master Lease Fleet Van Operator of the Year in 1998. Zielnik also received a perfect 10 rating from customers as represented in United Van Lines quality scores.

Phil Lanning of Suddath/St. Peterburg was named Runner up in the Continental Fleet competition. Beginning with Suddath in 1986, Lanning has operated over one million miles accident free. Other awards to his credit include receiving United Van Lines' Honorable Mention Van Operator of the Month 14 times, United's Van Operator of the Month in April 1999, Suddath's Van Operator of the Month from 1998-1999 and Suddath's Van Operator of the Year in 1994.

Duwayne Liebe of Suddath/Los Angeles was awarded Suddath's 1999 Master Lease Fleet Van Operator of the Year. Liebe began his career with Suddath in 1991 receiving such awards as United Van Lines' Honorable Mention Van Operator of the Month 16 times, Suddath's Van Operator of the Month from 1992-1999, and Suddath's Van Operator of the Year award in 1993, 1995 and 1999. Liebe also received a quality score from United's customer surveys of 9.9 out a possible 10 in 1999.

Jason Dowell of Suddath/Houston was awarded Runner up in the Master Lease Fleet competition. A driver for Suddath since 1998, Dowell has received United Van Lines' Honorable Mention Van Operator of the Month four times and Suddath's Van Operator of the Month in August 1999.

Zielnik and Liebe were presented with engraved plaques, leather briefcases and $1,000 cash. Lanning and Dowell received engraved awards and $500 cash.
