barry vaughnAs CEO, Mr. Vaughn oversees the day-to-day operations and is responsible for driving the overall growth and profitability of all subsidiaries of The Suddath Companies.  With annual revenues exceeding $325 million, The Suddath Companies is a family of domestic and international service companies specializing in global corporate employee relocation, household goods moving, commercial relocation, specialized transportation, and warehousing and logistical services. The Suddath Companies is comprised of 23 nationwide locations and provides services to more than 150 countries worldwide.

Mr. Vaughn has more than 40 years of experience in global transportation, and since 1974 he has worked in a variety of executive positions within The Suddath Companies. He has been the key visionary in identifying opportunities and negotiating the company’s strategic developments, including recent acquisitions of Victoria National Golf Course in Newburgh, IN, as well as Barrett Moving and Storage Company, a $40 million transportation and relocation company in the upper Midwest.   

Mr. Vaughn is active in numerous civic and industry endeavors.  Locally, he is on the board of the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce and Downtown Vision, Inc. 

Since 2004, he has served on the board of directors of UniGroup, Inc., the nation’s largest household goods moving company.  Mr. Vaughn was also elected chairman of the board of UniGroup’s most recently formed corporation, United Container Services (UCS). 

In 2006, Mr. Vaughn was elected to the board of directors for the American Moving & Storage Association (AMSA).  AMSA is an association of approximately 3,200 interstate movers who must abide by a code of ethics in providing honest, efficient and quality services to the public.
